Two more quickies about swine flu:

13,000 normally die from STANDARD flu

http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/04/28/regular.flu/index.html

Huh, never hear about that, do we?

Also, the World Health Organization would like you to know that there are, in fact, only 7 deaths directly related to that Mexican swine flu. Whoops.

http://www.smh.com.au/world/only-7-swine-flu-deaths-not-152-says-who-20090429-aml1.html

Could someone please tell me why the World Health Organization is TRYING to make everyone panic?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30398682?GT1=43001

Read the article, go for it. It's the one that was plastered across MSN.com's top area, complete with a red background. You'd expect it to say "DOOM FOR US ALL" or something.

You know what it says? It says that there have been a few cases of swine flu in multiple countries. It also says that there has been ONE WHOLE DEATH related to that flu, outside of Mexico. Namely, just across the border, in Texas.

If you read up on what they're worried about, the last few TRUE flu pandemics in world history have killed MILLIONS. They're trying to make us panic over not even 200 deaths, with all but one concentrated in a single country?

I swear, they're TRYING to make people panic. And I can't figure out why.

And since I didn't know this was possible...

Here's the RSS feed from within LiveJournal, if you want to see my other blog's RSS feeds:

http://syndicated.livejournal.com/seii0/

Thanks to nekomimimocha for telling me about it.

You can also check out the RSS and Atom links directly from the blog's sidebar, but I'm not sure how that all works. ^_^

Alright, folks, you've suffered long enough.

I'm moving my wonderful little tags like "politics", "economics", and all the others that everyone is SO enamored of, and moving them to my own blog site. Yes, that's right...your friends list will now be at peace again.

If anyone wants to see them still, they'll be over at http://seii.boldlygoingnowhere.org/blog. Yeah, that's the server that I was talking about, the one I built. Not all entries are up yet, but I'm going from most recent, backwards - this will let the most recent ones go up first.

Oh yes, and because of that this journal is now friends-only, just in case. All of you reading it are likely friends anyway, so that works out just fine.
